Rivers of Grace Privacy Policy

Rivers of Grace provides Bible reading, Christian learning, devotionals, messages, stories, prayer support and related ministry content through the Rivers of Grace mobile app.

Information stored on your device

Bible highlights and bookmarks, course progress, reflections, worksheet answers, and prayer requests that you do not choose to share are stored locally on your device. Rivers of Grace does not receive this local-only information.

App analytics

The app collects limited usage analytics to help us understand how the app is being used and improve the experience. This may include a randomly generated installation identifier, device platform, app version, app feature usage, screen or content activity, and timestamps. We do not use this analytics data for advertising and do not sell it.

Analytics events are retained for a limited period for operational and product-improvement purposes.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, the app may store a notification token so that Rivers of Grace can send app notifications such as ministry updates or daily Scripture reminders. You can disable notifications in your device settings.

Prayer requests you choose to share

If you turn on “Share with prayer team” when saving a prayer request, the text of that request is sent securely to Rivers of Grace and made available to authorised prayer-team administrators. Shared prayer requests are not published publicly. Please only include information you are comfortable sharing with the prayer team.

App content and Bible services

The app connects to Rivers of Grace servers to retrieve app content and artwork. Bible reading and search requests may be fulfilled through our server using licensed or public-domain Bible services. Search terms and requested Bible references are used to return the Scripture you request.

Testimonies you submit

You may submit a written testimony, audio file or video file for our team to review. Your name is optional. Submissions and recordings remain private to authorised administrators until they explicitly approve publication.

Administrators may edit the title, written text, summary and display name, or replace an edited recording before approval. By submitting, you confirm that you have permission to share the content and consent to our review and possible publication. Leaving your name blank does not remove identifying information from your words, voice or video.

Keep your submission reference and contact info@riversofgrace.mu if you want to request removal of submitted content.

Administrators

Authorised Rivers of Grace administrators can upload app artwork and manage devotionals, messages, stories, prayer-team requests and other app content. Administrative access is protected and is not intended for general app users.

Sale and advertising

Rivers of Grace does not sell personal information, and the app does not use personal information for third-party advertising.

Retention and deletion

Local-only information can be removed by clearing the app's local data or uninstalling the app. To request deletion of information you shared with Rivers of Grace, contact us using the address below and provide enough information for us to identify the relevant submission or request.

We retain shared information only for legitimate ministry, operational and support purposes and may archive or delete it when it is no longer required.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect information transmitted to and stored by Rivers of Grace. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

The app is intended for a general Christian audience and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Children should not submit personal information in shared prayer requests, testimonies or other submissions without appropriate parent or guardian involvement.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. The current version will remain available at this page.
